Operation Christmas Child
"Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ."
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

FBC Boulougne is dedicated to supporting the ministry of Operation Christmas Child and Samaritan's Purse. Each month, we have a different themed collection drive. All donations will be placed into a shoe box during the packing period for a child in need. You can place your donations in the collection box located in the side foyer. Group meets two Saturdays per month at 9am to make crafts for shoe boxes. Take home crafts are also be available. For questions or more information about meeting times, see Sonia Joiner.

These are suggestions! We are packing boxes for boys and girls ages 2- 4, 5-9, & 10-14 years of age.
Items must be able to fit into a shoebox, leaving enough room for items that will go in all boxes (soap, wash cloths, toothbrush, and crayons).
Postage is $10 per box, if you would like to donate postage.

March ~ HAPPY FEET/CLOTHES: Tennis Shoes, Flip Flops, Toddler Shoes, Socks, Shoelaces, Bar Soap & Wash cloths.
April ~ ACCESSORIZE: Sunglasses, Hats, Necklaces, Bracelets, Scarves, Gloves, Plastic Poncho in Packet, Drawstring Backpacks, Bandanas, Ball Caps, Small Purse, Bar Soap & Wash Cloths.
May ~ GROOMING/HYGIENE: combs, hairbrushes, hair ribbons, barrettes, hair clips, small mirror (non-breakable), nail care kit, small pouch of tissues, bar soap & Wash Cloths.
June ~ TOYS ~ TOYS ~TOY Ideas: Harmonicas, kazoo, handheld “etch-a-sketch’, bars soap & wash cloths.
July ~ BACK TO SCHOOL/ART SUPPLIES: Pencils, Colored Pencils, Sharpeners, Spiral Notebooks, Note Pads, Erasers, Pencil Cases, Crayons, Pens, Paper, Rulers, Glue Sticks, Safety Scissors, Markers, Stickers, Stickers, Compass, Calculator, Bar Soap & Wash Cloths
August ~ TOOL TIME: hammer, nails, screws, LED keychain, duct tape, tape measure. SEWING NOTIONS: needles, thread, small safety scissors, seam ripper, thimble, buttons, 1 yard of sewing fabric. FISHING KITS: (made in small bottles or pill bottles or can use strong quart size zip lock bags) fishing line, hooks, fishing accessories etc. with how to use instructions. WASH KITS: bar soap & washcloths.
